Thank you to the Red Hatters Book Club!!

Yesterday the booksigning in Northeast Philadelphia with "Somali Rose Red Hatters" book club hosted by the lovely Eleanor Johnson was awesome. The event started off with a humongous home cooked food buffet and bar-b-que. Jerk chicken, fried fish, corn on the cob, string beans, potato salad, turkey turnovers, pasta salad, BBQ beef and turkey burgers, home made peach cobbler and lots more. We have to mention these things because Eleanor and the ladies "put their foot in it" as they say.

After eating to our hearts content, it was time for the main presentation. Aginah spoke to the book club about her book "CHOICEZ, How They Impact Our Lives" and then screened the documentary "Justice for Her" based on the true events that happened to her daughter Yonzetta "Nas" Hudson.

This was truly an evening to remember. It was more than a booksigning. We bonded as women and shared our stories about making better choices....And that's what its all about.

Thank you for a wonderful event, as Queen of the Somali Rose Red Hat Society, I would like to express my gratitude to Aginah for helping to entertain and inspire our group with the information that is found between the pages of Choicez, we ate, we talked and we bonded.

It was a really enjoyable experience one that I was happy to share with my sisters.
