Thank you Lena Lewis!

This weekend was phenomenal. Many thanks to Lena Lewis in Delaware for a spectacular booksigning and screening for Aginah on Saturday 9/27. To top things off, Lena's husband Tony treated us to a home style crab feast and many great home cooked dishes provided by family and friends. More importantly women bonded and shared stories about choices. Aginah, Aisha, Monica and her grandson Omar felt at home and welcomed! Thank you so much Lena for allowing us into your beautiful home.

MOTIVATIONAL STORY!

CHOICEZ

How They Impact Our Lives

by Aginah Carter-Shabazz

CHOICEZ is the riveting story of Aginah Carter-Shabazz, one of Philadelphia's most prominent cosmetologists who learned the hard way about the high cost of pursuing the "fabulous" life. The moving memoir reveals lessons learned about the price women pay for love and making their man’s choices their own.

Aginah masterfully weaves readers along her journey, revealing her poor choices and how they impact her life. Throughout the memoir, Aginah learns and grows, but the lessons of her poor choices don’t fully take hold until she reaches middle-age. Will CHOICEZ assist readers with removing the layers of programming and conditioning that is needed for women to make better choices? “Every choice has a consequence.” http://www.youtube.com/thebookchoicez * http://www.thebookchoicez.com

Aginah owned and operated several hair salons complete with her own line of Aginah’s Herbal Hair Products in Philadelphia. She has served her loyal clients for over thirty years. In 2003, she directed and produced an award winning documentary Justice For Her premiered Mother’s Day 2008 at the African-American Museum in Philadelphia with over 300 guests in attendance. http://www.myspace.com/justiceforher

Based on her experience, Ms. Aginah conveys the myriad of ways that we can all make better choices. CHOICEZ will help you remove the layers of programming, conditioning, and limiting beliefs that can suffocate your spirit; teach you how to experience free-ness in your mind, how to affect your ability to manifest and attract what you desire; and how stepping into your full woman-ness or man-ness positively affects your love relationships with spouses, friends, and loved ones.” –Aginah Carter-Shabazz.

SYNOPSIS
CHOICEZ is the true story of Aginah Carter-Shabazz, one of Philadelphia’s most prominent cosmetologist who learned the hard way about the high cost of pursuing the "fabulous" life as the girlfriend of a hustler and ex-wife of a Muslim minister, and in her mid life crisis a jewel thief. Reality set in when her boyfriend and a rival drug kingpin were killed in a massacre by the so-called black mafia inside Club Harlem, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It happened on Easter Sunday, April, 1972. She barely escaped with her life. www.youtube.com/thebookchoicez

Years later, Carter-Shabazz’s own personal transformation came too late to save her daughter, Nas, from walking in her footsteps as a young woman. As a result, Nas was charged with a capital murder that could have left her facing the death penalty for a murder she neither committed nor orchestrated.

Though, Nas, Aginah’s daughter, had nothing to do with this killing, she was charged solely as a prosecutorial tactic to convict an innocent woman to pressure her to reveal information about her previous boyfriend’s illegal activities. Never one to shrink back from a just cause, Aginah conveyed strength of purpose to women of all ages. Whether this effort will succeed and Nas will be given a second chance to make another choice about her own life awaits the reader in the exciting climax of this book. CHOICEZ: How They Impact Our Lives.
